Having a few days off this week, I decided to take short road trip up to Waco and be a tourist in my state.
I took the backroads up from San Antonio and enjoyed the joys of two lane country roads with nothing but nature to see. The familiar landscapes remind me of coming home.
In my head I compiled a list of things to do and places to see. So much to see, so little time. I should have stayed an extra day, but I didn’t budget for it. No budget, no stay. 🙂
I did some of the typical Waco tourist things: Magnolia (of course!) • Dr Pepper Museum • Waco Suspension Bridge • sandwich at Schmaltz’s
The highlight of the trip was my unplanned adventure. A tour of Waco with @wacotours. Completely taken off guard as I was headed to the Dr Pepper Museum; I was asked if I would like to take a tour of Waco. Right then and there… the van was just about to leave with a group. Of course I wasn’t going to pass that up and with the steep discount they gave, I knew it was a “God moment”. Do y’all ever have those? Where something happens, and it seems like luck; but for me I feel it is a moment that God gives me as a gift. I’m not one to say no to a gift!
I had so much fun!!!! Here are some pictures of my adventures:
